So I got my other book yesterday and...good lord, it is HUGE. Seriously, it's thick like a Harry Potter book. Just looking at it discourages me from reading it, because not only is it HUGE, but it has tiny print, so there's a shitload of words on each page. It's funny. My last entry I'm complaining about it being in the low 90s during the day, and like 2 days later the daily highs have dropped about 20-25 degrees on average and that's the way it's been since. So I was looking at CNN and saw the following news link: Study: Many virgins take other sexual risks. Curious, I clicked on it. It was about how teens that pledged abstenance until marriage would then go and explore their sexuality through oral and anal sex. Saw this on CNN today, and I just have to comment on what I feel is a horribly irresponsible decision by the Texas Board of Education.  They plan to approve 4 new text books for use in sexual education that ONLY promote abstinence.  Three of the books make no mention of contraception at all, and one makes a reference to condoms, but nothing more.  ( Read more... )
